After managing several successful UN conferences, Mr. Sciarratta joins WDF as its director of programming. Aug, 2017.
Patrick has managed several, well-attended functions at the UN for WDF after leaving his NGO service and in 2017, as Ambassador Mac Donald’s technical assistant at the Permanent Mission of Suriname to the United Nations. Prior to that, since 2014, Patrick had offered volunteer service as a Delegate at the Permanent Mission of Sao Tome and Principe, where he produced the Relief Concert for Ebola Victims, in cooperation with the Secretary General’s Office and Permanent Mission of the United States under H. E. Samantha Power. He later went on to provide leadership for the Humanity and Happiness Day celebrations co-endorsed by several Missions.
In 2015, he led the well-attended 70th Anniversary NGO Conference at the UN; in 2012, 2014, and 2015, he led and co-produced the Rhythms of One World Concert Series at the UN GA Hall and Avery Fisher (Lincoln Center) Hall in New York and at the UN Palais de Nations Assembly Hall in Geneva. Rhythms was also featured on television in New York on Cablevision in 2012.
Mr. Sciarratta created and led the popular Youth Assembly at the United Nations in 2002 in order to attract new, young talent to UN service and through it, introduced the first-ever Youth Envoy to the Secretary General at the UN, Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, to the UN for his first visit ever.
