In Guyana, Dr. Mac Donald was asked to address a Ministerial Meeting of the organization of American States in his new capacity. There he spoke about the importance of developing the tourism potential in recognizing and protecting the Guyana Shield geographical area for wise tourism development. His sustainable tourism approach was highlighted at the United Nations conference sponsored and led by WDF in 2017; highlights reprised there for the officials on hand.
